After nearly two years of development, Reflex Racing has announced the release of their first 1/28 scale Formula Car Kit—the FX28. Unlike other offerings, this isn’t just a stretched version of an existing platform. It’s a completely new design built from the ground up.
Reflex Racing focused on three core principles when creating the FX28:
- Simplicity: The FX28 features a durable two-piece front end designed to withstand the rigors of open-wheel racing. It includes 2 degrees of built-in caster, 1-degree knuckles for improved corner speed, and a high-quality servo saver for added protection.
- Low Center of Gravity: Strategic use of steel and aluminum in the lowest areas of the chassis helps maintain a low center of gravity, enhancing performance and stability.
- Super Narrow Weight Distribution: Thanks to a dampened rotary hinge rear suspension and low-CG disc damper, Reflex Racing was able to package all components neatly within the body. The result is a realistic silhouette with over 97% scale fidelity to real Formula cars. The high-performance Lexan body and molded nylon wings were co-developed with Radbody in the USA.
As with all Reflex Racing products, the FX28 is built using top-tier materials, finishes, and coatings—offering a premium build and driving experience that stands out in the 1/28 scale market.
